MATCH BUILD UP . ST LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY VS NKUMBA UNIVERSITY

Nkumba University will take on St Lawrence University on Wednesday afternoon in Kavule, in a match that both teams will be looking to win to kick-start their Pepsi University Football League campaigns.


Last edition, St Lawrence University were edged 1-0 by Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi in the finals, while Nkumba University were eliminated in the quarterfinals.

St Lawrence University
Davis Nono, the coach of St Lawrence University, said: “We are building a new team that will compete in the next three years.”

“I request our fans to be patient and put faith in us to build a strong team. Our target is to reach the quarterfinals and we will build from that in the next years.”
David Lukisi, the captain of St. Lawrence University, said: “Some of our players left for top leagues but we have new players who we believe that they’ll help us.”

“The new players are hungry and ready to give their best to help the team win games and it will help the team go far in this edition.”

Nkumba University

Sulaiman Bbosa, the coach of Nkumba University, said: “We are well prepared for this year’s campaign.”

“Last edition we were eliminated in the quarterfinals and we target a better finish this edition. We have improved on every department and we hope to achieve our target.”

Kennedy Ssewankambo, the captain of Nkumba University, said: “We have had enough and good preparations.”

“The only target this edition, is to win every game and have a remarkable finish. We hope to win today’s game.”
